At FIU, parents and families donate to funds, scholarships, and programs that they are passionate about. Below are three funds that the FIU Parent and Family Council support and encourage you to do so as well:
- The Parent & Family Panther Protection Fund supports students in crisis due to unforeseen circumstances like the COVID 19 pandemic or a hurricane.
- The Parents' Fund, supports professional development and personal enrichment opportunities for our FIU students as well as critical university needs.
- The First Generation Scholarship Fund supports students who are the first in their family to attend college.
- The Student Success Fund helps FIU students that encounter a variety of challenges on their way to graduation. Personal emergency, academic challenges, loss of financial aid, and many other factors can lead a student to need additional dollars to stay on track and graduate. Parents and families can help.
Thank you for your consideration in making an impact and becoming an "Agent of Change" for our FIU students. If you are interested in making a donation to another fund or starting your own scholarship, please email Beatriz Newborn, Parent & Student Philanthropy Manager.
